BACHELOR OF ARTS IN APPLIED COMPUTER SCIENCE

The Bachelor of Arts in Applied Computer Science is a new program for Fall 2014. The BA-ACS is less formal and more applied than the BS-CS. It requires an interdisciplinary minor and foreign languages, and provides for a more rounded and balanced university education. The program will being offering its first courses in Fall 2014.

General Education (44 Credit Hours):

Specific General Education requirements for this major:
Any lab-based science sequence. Note that the science sequence chosen may limit the choice of minor.

  • MATH: CS majors are encouraged to take MATH 1190 Calculus I as the first math course. However, it is acceptable to start with MATH 1113 Pre-calculus.
    • MATH 1113 - Precalculus
